This comprehensive webinar will bring you the latest evidence and current best practice, as well as practical strategies and resources you can use right away when working with young ADHDers.  

Overview

This webinar is for clinicians working in paediatrics (most relevant for ages 4-18yo) who are interested in developing their knowledge and skills regarding Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). It will support you to deepen your understanding of current evidence around ADHD and increase your confidence in planning and delivering effective, engaging therapy.

Objectives

  • To understand the ADHD brain and how it impacts function.
  • To understand what attention and hyperactivity are, and the evidence regarding effective intervention.
  • To explore current guidelines and best practice for ADHD
  • To be aware of common assessments and screeners utilised for diagnosis and assessment of ADHD.
  • To develop your ability to collaboratively set functional goals with your client and their family.
  • To build your toolbox of resources, handouts, and practical strategies which you can use in your day to day practice with clients and their families.
  • To increase your confidence in planning and delivering therapy with ADHDers.

  • 2.5 hour live webinar that includes relevant evidence, theory, practical strategies and resources for delivering therapy, exploration of a case study, and opportunities to apply your learning throughout.

Jackie Sikic

Jackie Sikic

Jackie Sikic is an Occupational Therapist and the director at Kid Link Occupational Therapy. Jackie Graduated in 2008 from Deakin University and has worked in private practice since 2011. Jackie is endorsed by OT Australia to practice within the Medicare Better Access to Mental Health Program. Jackie has extensive experience presenting, and is passionate about creating a positive and supportive workplace that values best practice and culture. Jackie also holds a small caseload between 9yo-15yo, directly supervises a team of twelve OTs, mentors external OTs, provides business mentoring and consults for schools and organisations.

Caitlyn Cowie

Caitlyn Cowie is an Occupational Therapist, graduating in 2016 from Monash University with Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours). Caitlyn has been with the Kid Link team since 2017, and is one of our Senior OT's. Caitlyn is endorsed by OT Australia to practice within the Medicare Better Access to Mental Health Program. Caitlyn is an experienced presenter, developing and presenting on many topics to OT’s, families, and schools. Caitlyn supervises both Kid Link OT’s and external OT’s, oversees our student program, and manages a paediatric caseload between 4yo-18yo.

The information contained within the webinar is relevant for ages 4 to 18 years old. 

No, you do not have to attend live. We will provide access to the recording for 30 days following the live event.

In most instances you will receive the handouts at least 24 hours before the event. If you register within 24 hours of the event, we will endeavour to send the handouts to you at least 3 hours before the event.
